Do I Need To Do Daily Practices With Divine Openings?
If it feels good. If you need it. If you find it helpful, yes. There is a summary of about 30 of them at the end of the book.
If you're doing it to fix yourself or get somewhere, no. That's the old fixing, healing, cleansing paradigm, and it's a treadmill you never get off of. Once you are awake, you will mostly just LIVE! You'll stop trying and working. You'll just be and know.
When you're blissed out, things are flowing like magic, and you're having a great time, you may not need or want to do any spiritual practices for a while. As you surf your feelings, the need for rituals may ebb and flow. I do best with my day of silence once a week. Other needs come and go for me. I rarely meditate anymore, but it sure feels great when I do. I sit in my hot tub and go really deep, walk and commune with nature, or play with animals.
Most people benefit from a moment of focus each morning to appreciate, clarify their vision, get centered, and pre-pave how they want their day to go. Many people need a meditation practice to stay in the flow. Best reason to meditate is because it feels good.
Clearing your mind and having "no thought" is very powerful. Sometimes I meditate informally before I get up. Other days I can't wait to leap out of bed and get going. When things are flowing like a Class 5 rapid, I just jump in and go for it!
Don't give rituals any power. The power is God's and yours. You put the power in the ritual. Any ritual just serves to focus your intention powerfully, and has no intrinsic power of its own, at all.
Maggie, one of the Divine Openings Givers, spends an hour each day in what she calls Adoration. She may do it after lighting a candle at her Catholic church, or simply at home. But she does it for pure joy and pleasure. She's not doing it to get somewhere, seek answers, fix herself, or ask for something. It's about joy, love, luxuriating in Divine Bliss. For her, it's like spending quality time with her beloved whom she can't wait to see each day. That's the best spirit in which to do rituals or practices.
She says she's "addicted to it." Sometimes tears stream. Other times peace envelops her.
The old paradigm had us doing rituals to heal, cleanse, ask for something, or "be good." You can drop all that now. You're good. There is nothing wrong with you. Just wake up and enjoy living! When you do Divine Openings, you'll know what I mean. There isn't any work to do on yourself.
Meditate for pleasure.
Meditate to bask in the love of The Divine.
Meditate because it feels good to immerse yourself in indescribable peace.
Do your rituals to celebrate.
If you'd benefit from doing one of the practices I give in the book to help you raise your vibration, do it asap.
If your vibration is high and you're sailing, say thanks to your Large Self on the way out the door ....... and GO OUT AND LIVE!
